How does the admission procedure work?
1
Choose your program
Choose in advance which Sciences Po campus you would like to study, and whether you want to undertake a Dual Degree. Our tutors will help you understand which program is most in line with your passions, aptitudes and personal preferences. The offer is really wide, and we recommend starting this process possibly in the summer before the last year of high school.
2
If you choose the Double Degree: Complete the Application
If you plan to study two years at Sciences Po and two years at another university to earn two degrees, you will need to follow a specific admission procedure based on the partner university you choose. You may need to take exams such as SAT, IELTS/TOEFL, write cover and motivational letters, and submit CVs and academic transcripts. At each step, Valdo Academics tutors will guide and support you.
3
If you choose the Sciences Po bachelor's degree: prepare all the necessary material
If you prefer to study Sciences Po's bachelor's degree, which includes two years on a multicultural thematic campus in France and one year of exchange abroad, you will submit your application directly to Sciences Po through its online platform. The unified admission procedure of the Bachelor's Degree consists of four assessments, each of which is scored out of 20. These assessments are the same for all Sciences Po applicants:
-
Results of baccalaureate or foreign equivalent exams/Prediction of final grade
-
Academic performance and progress
-
Written pieces
-
Three writing exercises: 1. the candidate's personal background, 2. the candidate's motivations for Sciences Po, 3. an essay on one of the five proposed themes
-
- Interview
Are you interested in both a Dual Degree and the Sciences Po path? Don't worry, you will be able to apply to both by indicating the option you prefer, thus leaving more doors open and the possibility to choose, should you be admitted to both programs.
Prepare for the interview
The final step of the Sciences Po admissions process is an interview. The interview is both academic and aptitude-based, but focuses primarily on your critical thinking skills. The Sciences Po interview begins with a presentation of the candidate, followed by an analytical commentary on an image, and a final speech on the candidate's background, motivations, intellectual ambitions for Sciences Po.
Why image analysis? Visual messages have their own language and always have a purpose: to communicate, convince, persuade, criticize.
We at Valdo Academics can help you prepare both this and the double degree admission interview.
We can help prepare you for both this and the Dual Degrees admissions interviews.
